  1. Hi,

My fiancee and I went to Sunny Beach last year. We are in our early 40's. We stayed at the Victoria Palace and really enjoyed our holiday. The unit of currency is the Lev and the cost of living in Bulgaria is very cheap. The people are nice and friendly.  Check out tripadvisor before you go.

  2. My parents have been twice and they loved it. They were both in their 50s at the time but I think it is very mixed, age-wise.

  3. Ok I went to bulgaria about 14 yrs ago and it was a horrible ordeal for everyone in our party of 10. I was just a child but I recall that it was not nice for many reasons. However, having said that I have heard lots of good reports about it since then, and it's very very cheap too.

  4. I think I can help you. I live in Varna which is right next to Golden sands.  Tourists really like it there although some think that there are too much hotels and nothing else.

Anyway everything is really cheap for foreigners. For example a cup of coffee costs 2.50 leva which is about  1,5 euro and an average meal for a couple costs about  15-20 euro. So you don't have to worry about money. Hotels restaurants and service have excellent quality. There are really nice beaches and discos too.  If you like history in Varna you can see ruins of roman baths and our 7000 year old thracian gold treasures which you can see in the archaeological museum.

It's a nice place, I hope I helped. ;) see ya in BG
