Have you been robbed by Mexican police?

Several more incidents reported in Acapulco this week. Of course I'd bet 99% of crimes by police are not reported, since you would not get anywhere with it. Here is link to latest American/Canadian tourists robbed. I had same experience last year, twice in one week. Time for tourists to get a message to tourism industry in Mexico. If you are going there, never carry much money.

This is certainly a regrettable event...however sounds like the man involved put himself at high risk by leaving his resort at 1:30 in the morning to go find a local bar....a warning to others.
