Have you been screwed over by Tim Hortons?

I worked there, and was fired for eating a few Timbits. It was closing time, they were throwing out the day-old Timbits and I asked my supervisor if I could have one. She said yes, and I ate a few. Surely a few Timbits, about to thrown out anyway, weren't a cause to be fired. I guess not. Some time later, my supervisor told me to discuss my issues with theft. I asked her what she was talking about. Then she referred to the Timbits I had "stolen". She had the dastardly deed on tape, and I knew there were cameras, but I didn't think it mattered because it was A FEW DAY-OLD TIMBITS.

I was fired, because of their zero-tolerance policy for theft of any kind. This happened in about February, and since then I haven't been able to find another job, cuz in my town it's almost impossible. Believe I've tried. And I need the money.

And they did the same bull**** to a single mom of 4. http://www.thestar.com/News/Ontario/article/422864

That's how I got ****ed over by TH.

  1. She got her job back-- the day after they fired her (and got bad press):

If your supervisor gave you permission, then why did you get fired? Why did the supervisor then fire you?

  2. I would report them.  File a law suit. Go to the press to tell "your story", since their story is out and about the town.  Also get the other lady to help you callobrate.  If the supervisor said it was ok for you to take and you are telling the truth  pursue this.  You need to look after yourself.
