  1. cancun has way better beaches but acapulco is ok i guess

  2. I will be spending my 27th winter there and the end of this year.

Have you looked at the temperature and humidity at this time of year?

I am also getting fed up with the traffic.

When faced with the winters here in Ontario I still really look forward to Aca every fall.

Great nightlife and do go to the "Quebrada" and see the cliff divers.

  3. Yeah it's cool, but there's a lot of beggars... so if you don't mind that the veiws are beautiful!

  4. well if you are in your own area with a personal chief and some maids basicaly if you never have to leave your area because in the town its depressing the poverty and gross people and beggers, you should find a large private place  with a pool and service right off a private beach

  5. Summer temps are starting to climb. Maybe mid 90's and some humidity - not to bad. Lots of peddelars on the playa - just ignore. They are tremendous con artitst's , especially taxi drivers so be aware,

favorite beach - Playa Diana. Large rocks for shade and swimming. Slope of the beach is more gradual here as well. Marked by a large water fountain. Port of Marquis on south side is a small beach and a little trashy.Coleta on the north end is real small. Stay away from the marina at night - crime.

Be prepared for streets full of trash

Consulate General ( USA ) is next to Texas ribs at playa Diana.

Favorite staple food - Pecada's.  Also taco's barbacoa. Ice is freee at all Oxxo conv. stores if you buy your beer there. Just go and get ( scoop ) outta cooler in front of store.

Two " switches " on and off. At 6am the buses start running and roosters and at say 11pm things  start to quite down. Noise pollution is horrid !!  Horns like nobodys buisness !!!

Must see and do Pie de la Cuesta. Hop on bus down near the marina, it will be green and say Pie de la Cuesta and also Playa luces. Take it till he turns around way out past air force base and get off. Get your beer and snacks and walk down one of many ally ways and get ready ! The beach is completelty deserted !  I often go " al natural " Beach is probably 70 yards wide and goes for as far as the eye can see. The waves are incredible !!!   Usually 15 to 20 footers but I have seen some 30 footers !  Dont go out in them as you will die. Not kiddin - Im a good swimmer and Ive been out in them and NEVER again. Frolic in the surf but be forwarned. Lagoon just on the other side of the road to swim and wash off the salt water. I have my jet skii and boat there.

Pie de la cuesta is soooo  laid back. Flat too - no mountains like Acapulco. Beautiful sunsets. You tube does have some videos of the " Pie ". check it out. Please go to Pie de la Cuesta - youll love it ! No people no peddelers just laid back.

Taxi to the Pie - from the Marina - 50 pesos. all the way out to the best part ( past the air force base ) 100 pesos.

Fort of San Diego is tourist but worth the hour or so to go learn some history. Park across the street is cool to relax in.

Think thats about it.................I love Acapulco !!!
