A close family member is traveling to Dublin, she has never been before.

What are some must haves (to take with you) while there and what are some things to do, see or eat while there to make it memorable??

Is there anything in Ireland to experience that is strictly there and no place else?

What should she bring back home as a souvenir?

  1. HI, Dublin can be expensive, in the city centre. A good thing to do which is the only place in Ireland is, to go on the VICKING SHIP. It's a bus and gives a guided tour about the Vikings coing to ireland, and then it goes into the Sea!!!!!!! It's so much fun. Also, visit the DunDrum shopping centre located in DUNDRUM it is one of the largest malls in Europe. Visit in GUINESS BREWRY it brings you throught the distellery and shows how the beer is made. There is a ZOO in the PHOENIX PARK. Travel on the LUAS, it is a kind of over groung TRAM it travels through the inner city and the fair is very cheap. DON'T travel down dark alley ways, it could be dangerous! And there are plenty of buses for transport, and tour guides, and information centres and great hotels. Have fun!

  2. she should go to newgrange its in Meath, which is just north of Dublin and its an amazing historic landmark. Its a beautifully preserved burial site older then the pyramids of Egypt. Dublin city is a great place. All you need is money really. Grafton street is the main shopping area in the city and there are plenty of tour buses which will give a great insight to the history.

  3. I recomment to buy a ticket for hop on tour bus its very good. I think River dance is still own (its brilliant) Its in the Gate off Stephens shopping center.Bring her to Guiness house and taste guinnes straight from the brewery or Jameson whiskey in smithfield for whiskey tasting and be certified whiskeyt aster(they give certificate with your name on it). Temple bar bar in temple bar for traditional music.Trinity college-the books of celts.Inside Christ Churt is brilliant like wise the dublinia.Kilmainum jail very good for History. Powerscort in Wicklow and Glendalogh. New Grange is very good and amazing but its a little far from dublin center. But if shes staying a little longer that would be good. Tullamore has the Fleadh Festival its a big Irish/Traditional music played on the streets/bars evry body will be dancing with irish music. Enjoy

  4. Take plenty of money with you. Sher you'll need to take out a mortgage to buy a pint of plain up there.

She should take the Spike in O' Connell Street back home as a souvenir, she might have a little bit of trouble getting it into her suitcase but it'll be worth it to get rid of the bloomin thing.
