  1. Disneyworld is in Florida, and while it has gotten quite expensive these days, I still feel it is worth it. There are rides for folks of all ages as well as some exciting ones for 'thrill seekers'.

Be sensible when visiting Disneyworld. Don't expect to do everything. Spend some time planning online as well as in the hotel the night before, then open up and enjoy the magic.

Speaking of magic, there are 4 parks... Magic Kingdom is a mustsee for younger ones and those of us who lub Disney critters. See the oldies but goodies and ride a corny train! Epcot Center is sometimes seen as boring, but really if you just go in and enjoy the moments, it really can be a good experience. Taking a 'passport' to get stamped in all the countries and taking advantage of the hands on crafts in each country whets the travel appetite.

MGM Studios can be a bit hectic, in my opinion  the best part of it is the live performances--seeing them takes scheduling but well worth the trouble.  Animal Kingdom never caught my imagination, I have been to better zoos and just kinda felt the magic was missing. That said it has been several years since I last tried it, so it may have perked up some.

    Well that's my two cents.

  2. i went there with my two sons some years ago. absolutely loved it.

my freinds have both just come back from there (middle aged almost) and they too thought it was fabulous.

It IS expensive so try and get a package deal.

if you can go for two weeks at least it may pay you to work out the best way of spending your time there.

eg first day  around the pool etc to recover from flight etc.

    second day sea world

    day  driving around eating etc?

day at disney and so on.

if you are staying near International drive look for a place called 'Ponderosa' like in teh old TV series. there (if it still is?) we paid a set price for all you can eat. includes icecream by the waw.

eat a full breakfast and then when you get to disney  you can have more time and save  quite a bit of money by not having need to eat after a few hours.

Also lok at the Attractions, these are the places you want to see. Ignore anything else until you have covered those. tgere will be long queues for some rides and you can pay extra to 'jump' a queue ,check this out with the travel agent and when you buy the disney tickets.

I will definatley go again one day. it has changed a lot since I went there but everybody I know has really enjoyed it. Don't bother with the  paris centre.

Last teh giant 'Golfball' called  planet earth you will is a ride and education thing, ignore this until you have seen and done everything else. many are actually rather dissapointed whith this one. do not miss the Viking  village when you do the various countries around the lake. If i recall correctly its called 'denmark'? and has a nice baot ride inside.

do NOT miss pirates of the carribean . have fun and a safe and joyful holiday. ps disney World in Florida is THE place to go not the other one in California (Los Angeles)

  3. actually, its called Walt Disney World. there are four theme parks, two water parks. Over a dozen resorts, etc. and depending on what you are looking for, its worth it.

IF all you want are roller coasters, then it may not be the best choice.

but if you want good family fun with options for everyone in the family (from kids to adults) then it is a great place to visit. due to the size, number of parks, etc. it can be expensive but if you do your research and have a basic plan its well worth it.

Its Florida, so its hot no matter where you go. if you go during the busiest time of year, there will be lines but with a plan you can keep them to a minimum. and EVERY theme park has expensive food and souvenirs. that is just the rules of the game. i have been to sea world, Universal, Bush Gardens, etc. and they all charge way too much for food and t-shirts, etc. but its the memories in the park that makes it priceless.

  5. Disneyland is in California, not Florida and it can be worth it if your are rich! Too hot, long lines and over priced food and novelties. But hey anything for kids right.

  6. You mean DisneyWorld.  Yes, we went there last year and we're going back God willing this August again.  It's SO worth going no matter what age you are.  Don't pass up the opportunity!

  7. Yes, I've been there. I think it is worth it, even though it has been a long time ago since I've been there.
