Have you bought anything from those cable shopping networks on T.V.?

Was it a good buy? Price and quality? My wife and I do once in a while and we so far have had good luck. How about you?

  1. I love QVC and I buy a brand of clothing called CitiKnits from them. When they are on the air (selling) they are usually discounted so I try to call in right away and take advantage of the sale price. Their prices are very good and so is the quality.    I do  not like HSN - they have "stuck it" to me a couple of times, stating that my returns did not arrive in the prescribed 30 days - NOT  TRUE!  I have also bought jewelry from ShopNBC - but that was in the past - with gold so high now, I will have to do without.      Hope this helps.

  2. No, we don't do the TV shopping, but we sure do a lot of internet shopping.  Usually good products, and always a good warranty.

  9. Yes, I have and I've been pleased most of the time.  I went to QVC in April.  Took the tour and shopped.  It was fun.

    We're also very careful about any online buying.

  11. I bought four CDs of Irish music from QVC, a good few years since. I can't remember the price,but they were delivered promptly and of excellent quality.

  12. We have, especially when it's something we know we can't find locally. Because they buy in volume, their prices are pretty fair, and it's great when you happen to come upon something that happens to have free shipping on it, too!

    The best part is that most of my family lives out of state, so I can just buy something and have it shipped directly to them. Saves a lot of headaches and time!

    Try buying Raiders stuff in Colts country!

    The jersey I bought from the shopping network was fairly priced, excellent quality, and shipped in record time.

    What I can't figure out are the rings for sale. You'd have to be the size of Bigfoot to wear some of these rings. I have very small hands so I wish they'd showcase delicate, small rings sometime instead of the ones the size of a hubcap!

  14. Never from a shopping channel but have bought two of those long handled lint brushes for use in your dryer vent and dryer. They worked fine but the call-in place had an employee that ripped my credit card off for about a thousand bucks in 2 separate purchases.

    I am really glad that the credit card company called me since the illegal purchases didn't fit our normal pattern of shopping. Used to bother me when they seemed to know what and where I shop all the time. Now it doesn't. The dropped the charges and went after the perp.

  15. My husband and I bought a bunch of kitchen towels from QVC, about 2 yrs. ago, and they are thee best towels!  Very good quality, especially compared with the same (supposedly) "quality" towels we bought at a well known bed and bath store for more $.

    This purchase made me a little more open to buying from QVC or homeshopping network.  I was very skeptical before :)

  18. Back in the 90s I bought most of my clothes from the Susan Graver line on QVC.  They were terrific.  The styles changed and I quit buying them.  I was very happy with QVC.  The prices and service was good.
