im surprisingly organised! i have about 75% of my daughter winter clothes - partly because we are going away in 4 weeks and where we are going is beside the sea, so it gets quite chilly in the evening, so i bought her the stuff to go away with and its in a bigger size, so it will be a little big the first time she wears it, but it'll be fine for winter.

plus it was her 1st birthday 2 weeks ago, and i knew if i didnt spend it on winter clothes, id end up buying toys - which she really doesnt need!

  1. No I havent. I have like 2 outfits that are for cooler weather and when the weather starts to get cold I will go and buy her more. It is still pretty warm here so I figure I can wait.

  2. I haven't, because I have no idea what size he'll be in! LOL We bought a bunch of summer clothes.. half of which he hasn't even grown into and probably won't in time. Our budget is tighter now, so we're going to wait it out. He has a few warmer outfits just in case though.

  3. I have her 9-12 which is her winter wardrobe and her 12-18 which is her spring summer wardrobe still have a few bits to get 12-18 but most of it is done.

  4. Er, no. I just put jumpers on when it's winter and take them off when it's summer.

  5. Well I always get given some second hand clothes from my daughter's cousin as she is a year older than my daughter.

Other than that I brought her a winter coat in the sales last year.

We have a lot of long sleeve tops, short sleeve tops, and trousers.

My mum knits all the cardigans that I need.

Just need to get her a couple of jumpers and some tights then we are set.

We already have her rain mac, wellies etc

  6. I've started for both my children, especially my son, he's starting playgroup next week and for some reason I seem to think he's gonna get snowed in or something, I freaked out for a week looking for a rain coat and wellies!  My daughter's birthday is a week before christmas, so I know she's gonna end up with a load of toys she doesn't need, so if I don't get them now, she'll be wearing a tomy toy box =)

  7. Well, it doesn't get too cold here in California, even in winter. We did buy their winter clothes already though - most of them. They each got 2 vests, 1 winter coat, UGGs for girls, mittens, hats, sweaters, long sleeves, long pants, skirts with tights for girls, construction type boots for boys, other cute boots for girls. We don't get snow really, so we don't get snow boots, just warmer boots. We will pick things up as we go, but we are pretty set here.

  8. Yes, but only recently, i'll pick up something week by week, there at school now so It's just something casual to change into after school...:)

  9. Yes I have!  When my dd was born someone gave me a beautiful snowsuit with winter jacket and I'm thinking okay.....I don't need this till a year away ( she'll be one in January ) but now that I have been picking up winter items here and there I'm so glad I recieved it!  Also I also have NO problem with hand me down as long as they "look" like brand new and are very clean...I also like garage sales! lol.

  10. Oh yes. I'm super organised. I only buy clothes for both of my kids twice a year in the next sale. That way I save loads. And my kids ar ethe first born on both sides of the family so no clothes handed down :(

  11. Yeah, I've started...IIt doesn't get really cold here until early November so I'm okay until then.

  12. I've got a few bits, but they were passed down from my cousin rather than me buying them.

He's only just grown into his 12-18 month stuff at 17 months, so I'm just going to get him a couple more jumpers and stuff and he should be set :)

EDIT: Urgh I know, I've spent more on Finn in a year than myself in the last 5 years lol!!

The bonus is that I can use all of his for my little one too though, slightly better value lol.
