I have with Buddy Franklin.

I watched the interview with Gary Lion. Basicly what I got out of it was: That everyone makes mistakes.

He doesnt want the fame.

He is young.

And most importantly we all make mistakes.

So what AFL player have you changed views on?

  1. Lol I agree with Buddy Franklin I thought He Was very Up himself and just wanted to go straight to the top no matter what he did to get there.

But again after seeing Garry Lyon interveiwing him on the Footy show I saw he was a very down to earth player. He is quite shy and doesn't really like the fame as much as some of the other players. I learnt he isn't actually up himself (well I did judge him and I've learnt never to do that again) and He admits he's made mistakes and probaly will make a few more In his future years

  2. Agreed with you on Buddy, we never really see him doing any interviews and it made me change my opinion on him. This big on-field character that everyone has seen is really just this extremely shy youngster

  3. Same Buddy Franklin the interview was great.

also Chris Judd i had a lot of respect for him and i met him after the 2006 grand final (that was a happy day) i never imagine him going to a other club, and even worst he left as for our arch enemies the Vic's. now in the back of my mind there's always a chance for buddy to come home in the years to come, Judd left and helped a falling club, it would be great if buddy came and helped us out :)

  4. I would agree with you on Buddy, I thought he was really arrogant, but after the interview, he seemed modest and really different to what he is on the field.

Another one is Jonathan Brown. I used to hate him because he was so cocky, and he played for a side that I didn't like. However, after seeing him on the footy show a few times, I've realised that he isn't that bad, and he has a laid back, fun sense of humour.

  5. A lot of players act differently in front of the media than they do on the field.

I also changed my views on Franklin AND Thomas after thursday night.

But umm ya i guess the more media work people do the more friendly the public will become to them.

  6. Dale Thomas: At first I thought he was overrated and cocky, but after seeing him on the Footy Show, I have realised that he is quite modest and I wouldn't mind having him at Geelong!

  7. i missed the footy show on thursday, so i guess i'm still gonna hate franklin

i used to think at the beginning of the year that Judd was over-rated and stuff but i've come to really respect his play and what hes been able to do.
