Last night I was AMAZED!!

Instead of using toxic comet to cleanse the tub, I chose this route instead:

Vinegar, kosher salts, regular dish soap.

After I scrubbed away, I looked down at the tub and it was VERY WHITE!!

{And even had that kind of 'texture' in the porcelain from when you clean w/bleach}

DOES ANYONE KNOW IF IT'S TRUE THAT FLEAS DIE OFF W/SPRINKLING 'BORAX' OVER CARPET PLEASE??

As far as I know we DON'T have fleas. We have (2) indoor kitties who never go outdoors. However one outdoor cat. He gets a little close to the back door, and was concerned, lol !!

ANY OTHER CLEANING TIPS?--Using all natural ingredients?

  1. I don't know if the borax kills the fleas as some people say they eat the borax and it kills them but fleas suck blood and do not eat anything else. As for cleaning tips, i have a 32 ounce spray bottle filled with half vinegar and half water and use it to spray as I go mop my tile, wood, linoleum and marble flooring as it leaves everything streak free clean while deodorizing and sanitizing. I also use this same spray to clean counters and also windows with newspaper to get them streak free and sparkling. I also keep a spray bottle of white vinegar at the ready to sanitize places where the kids go if they are sick to kill all their nasty germs off surfaces hard and soft as it won't hurt anything. Mixing a solution of half water and half listerine and rubbing the solution on electronic devices (make the cotton ball damp not wet or you could ruin the appliance) such as the phone, keyboard, remotes, etc) ill kill bacteria while leaving a pleasant smell. Spraying the floor around the toilets with vanilla extract ( I make my own as it seems more effective) will get rid of urine smell from those misses that the kids did not clean up. You will have to clean the area first though and make sure it is dry before applying with a spray bottle. I use white vinegar in place of fabric softener as it seems to do a better job and costs much less. If your microwave stinks, you can fill a coffee mug about 2/3 full with white vinegar and turn it on for about 1 minute and 20 seconds then allow to stand till cool. Then wipe away any moisture or even debris that is in there as it will come right up. You can soak a few paper towels in hot white vinegar and then wrap them around any hard water stains around faucets or whatever, allow to sit 15-30 minutes then simply wipe the problem away with the same towels.
