Have you discovered any unusual combinations of food that taste superb

I came back from Spain with a Torta del Casar (runny ewe's milk cheese) and on a whim combined it with some Jamaican guava jelly (jam). I still remember pleasure that I derived from these two unlikely pairings. It was like angels dancing on my tongue. They complimented each other so well. I've also found that it works with Epoisse (stinky runny cow's milk cheese) Has anyone else found unlikely combinations of food that go well together? Please don't keep them to yourself!

Yes, I am a caterer and always looking for new combinations of sandwiches.  

Please try this before you scoff.  When I told people the recipe, they turned up their noses, then I made it for a sampling event and I ran out in the kitchen before the event was over.

Mix 3 oz. cream cheese with 1 tablespoon chopped chives and a little ground pepper.  Spread on raisin bread (yes, trust me), layer several slices of thinly sliced turkey breast, a slice of provolone and top with fresh basil.  

It sounds weird and disgusting, but this is an amazing sandwich.  It's now a #1 sandwich on my catering menu and people ask for it.  

Don't leave off the basil, it's what makes this sandwich.

Slices of avocado pear and garlic sausage work well together, with bread, in a salad.
