My husband is considering doing concrete work in Iraq, and they are offering a huge amount of money. How many American construction workers are killed there every year?

  1. You will get paid approximately 70% over what you make here as an average depending on the Company. Plus around $87,000 per full year tax free if you stay employed for over 360 days overseas. KBR pays it Truck Drivers approx $92,000 per full year. This does not include any benefits or the fact that most supply food, lodging, Transportation there and in country. KBR pays for 50% of your RR plane ticket home plus paid vacation. You can make a lot of money if fully aware, prepared and don't waste money overseas. Good Luck and consider your plans carefully.

@dded: KBR and others are doing a very large constrution job in AL Kut Iraq right now. Large US Military base there and several US Military camps.

  2. Are you looking for stats, before you make a decision ? What does is matter how many, all it takes is one stray bullet and that one could be your husband. You got to ask yourself the question...do you feel lucky ?
