Would you describe it? As for me, I left my purse in a shopping cart and when I arrived home, a man was waiting for me in his truck with the purse. He wouldn't take a reward. And he apologized for opening it. He said, "I needed to know where you lived to return it."

  1. I work at the airport, so I watch for people who look lost and ask if I can help them find something.

  2. What a great story!  I work in a hospital and people always turn wallets in to my office.  That tells me there are still good people in the world.  Glad you were touched by his good deed.

  3. I have a reputation to protect so I refuse to answer that question without my lawyer

  4. I have a friend who has the kindest, gentlest words for me.  He moves my sadness into happiness.  I can count on him.  How many people can you really count on?

  5. Elaine: Sometime ago I decided I would do a good deed every chance I saw the opportunity.  I help people load groceries into their car.  I buy raffle tickets and give them to someone who if they won could better appreciate the prize than me.  I always let people trying to enter the roadway the opportunity to do so.  All little things but trying make someone else's day a little less stressful.

  6. Three things come to mind:

A couple of years ago I lost my wallet.  Some one called me and said they found my wallet on a bus stop bench and I could come to their house and pick it up.  Since my wallet had my driver's license in it and I didn't want to risk driving without it, I took a cab to that person's house, and got my wallet back, intact with every thing in it.  Since I'd taken a cab there, I didn't have my car and so had to take a cab back home.  As i got out of the second cab back at my house, can you believe I actually left my wallet in the back seat of that cab.  I couldn't believe it--it was like I was SUPPOSED to loose my wallet that weekend.  Just as I was lamenting what in the world I was going to do, that cab driver came back to my house and gave me my wallet back, still with every thing in it.  The first girl did accept a reward when I offered it to her, but the cab driver refused and just said, "Pay it forward," and drove off. I felt so extraordinarily fortunate. That's two.  The third is that just recently as I started a new job, I didn't have time to make myself lunch the first day, and I didn't have any cash with me, so I decided to go to the cash machine at lunch and then go to the cafeteria.  At the cash machine, for some reason the machine would not take my card.  I never saw that happen before and I was stuck with no way to get lunch for a 12 hour day, so I kept trying and trying.  The person in line behind me saw what was happening to me, and just happened to have a meal ticket to that cafeteria and so gave it to me, so I wouldn't be hungry......I feel so blessed.

  7. Well, I've never told this to anybody, but I happened to find myself in a group of people who were trying to help a tramp - he'd walked into a Salvation Army centre (I think it was). I was told he was trying to get to Oxford, which is near where I live, so I gave him a lift. It was about 30 miles away. During the drive he told me he had aids, and told me a lot of his life story, which was tragic. I gave him some money when I dropped him off and still wonder what happened to him. It happened several years ago.

  8. Once a month whoever is in front of me in the grocery store I pay for their groceries.I get  weird looks sometimes.I just tell them I do it all the time. They say thank-you.They want a better answer than that.I don't have one.

  9. i live,  to grace the Earth with my presence

  10. There's a girl who I see walking around with her beloved stuffed animal a lot...One day in the bathroom I saw it left by the sink so I brought it to security and asked if I could put it beside the glass window for her to see when she passed by.

I knew she loved it too much to just leave it =]
