Have you ever accidentally killed someone? Do you still feel guilty/upset?

I was driving on a rainy road once, and a little boy and his mom were going for a walk for some reason. He ran in front of her, and into the street, where I couldn't see him, because it was coming down so hard. I hit him. It was terrible. It was really horrible. When I saw his mom's face........... it was bad.

Sorry to bring back any bad memories.

I want to help bring closure if you did. Serious answers only, please.

It's true. The only way to avoid being in a situation like that is to be psychic and know what's going to happen. Of course most people don't know what's going to happen before it happens, so it isn't their fault if something bad and unexpected like that happens. We make thousands of choices every day and we don't stop to think about them. What kind of a life would we have if we did stop to think about each and every one of them? Not much of one. Life does what life does. It's a complicated thing and there's no way that you can sit down and think about every choice you're going to make in the day. You can't blame yourself for what happens. It could happen to anybody.

well I haven't been in a situation like that, however I have been in a situation where I've killed someone on purpose through military, and it still messes with my head, and when it comes down to it, you have to look back at the situation, and realize that what happened happened, and there is nothing that you could have done to avoid the situation.  It will take a lot of time to eventually get over the situation and you will probably never get over it, but you just have to accept it and move on, I know it's hard, I highly recommend some counseling too if you can afford it

i kinda know what you mean dude i was walking along the street and i'm guessing this guy was off his meds because he pulled a gun and started shooting in every direction i saw the gun coming my way so i ducked and when he shot it put a bullet through a kid it was honestly the worst day of my life not because of the shooter but because of that kid's expression once the bullet reached him

Omgosh that is really sad.  i have never killed anyone.  I dont think i could live with myself...
