How did you cope? How did you not hold a grudge? Forgive? How did you take people's false misjudgements of you?

  1. Yes.

Everything depends on your core values. If you believe and accept that there ARE evil persons out there, it is easier to shrug it off, that you were a target of someone common. (I almost said normal, but choked on that). If your basic value is that most persons are "good", and respect truth.. it becomes harder to accept.

Forgiveness is a flexible term, depending on your spiritual beliefs. At the extreme, some persons believe that we should forgive ANYTHING, even a person who murders a loved one. For others, forgiveness is conditional.. and only possible if the offender admits doing wrong or harming you.

As for holding a grudge.. you have to evaluate if what you truly want is being vindictive (as you will be accused of), OR if what you want and expect is someone to be held accountable, to have justice. This is very hard for anyone outside of yourself to determine.

In some cases, anger is valid. If someone kicks you in the teeth, are you supposed to feel something OTHER than anger? That denies human reality.

Taking false judgements of yourself is hard.. if you have strength, and self knowledge, it is possible to block this out, especially if there are others who know and believe in you.  If you are trapped and surrounded by hostility.. sometimes it is hard to escape.

As for coping.. I don't have the solution for that, since I am still struggling with it myself.  Coping is the ability to continue living a normal life, and move on to the next level. Personally, I TRY to use what I have learned, and pass it on, to save the next person from the same as I have suffered. Sometimes it works.. sometimes, not.

Please, feel free to email me.  You obviously need someone to hear you.
