  1. Not really.  Felt a few minor quakes, no big deal.  I was in New Orleans for a convention just a few days before Katrina hit -- whew!

  2. Yes. I have 2 houses and they both were severly damaged by hail in 2003. Ended up having the entire roof replaced on the one. Had a funnel cloud go over my house Feb.5 '08. Had anthor funnel cloud not but 1 min from my house.  And right now.(Im in TN)

  3. Not anything that extreme, but about two years ago on my birthday we had terrible rainfall and flooded EVERYWHERE. Flooding is not fun. Especially for your sweet sixteen.

  4. Hurricane Katrina flooded my house in new orleans 3 days after a kitchen remodel was completed.  I moved to Oklahoma and lived happily ever after.

  5. Does a flood count?

Back in '94, i was going down south to a family reunion in Florida on the 4th of July weekend of that year. I was in Panama City for three days and when the reunion ended, my dad decided that me and the fam would go to Macon, GA to see some of my relatives on his side. For the three days we were there, the flood was so bad we were forced to stay in a motel and had to go on bologna and cheese sandwiches. It was a crazy time, but we managed to pull through and managed to leave once the waters got to a point where they weren't threatening.

  6. Yea Katrina and wilma One of the 2 worst hurricanes in 2005 We lost power for about 2 weeks no hot water no t.v no radio. If u got an electric stove no meat or watever u cook on the stove. We had to pay lots of money to get our roof fixed cuz we had leaks. and shingles blew off. And the patio screening came off too. Also the gas prices rised and the lines were so long. We had to wait for hours. There was lots of traffic because there wasn't any traffic lifes.

  7. We had a tornado come over our house once in the middle of the night.  Thankfully, it didn't actually touch down.

It DID blow out my daughters bedroom window shattering glass all over her bed literally seconds after I grabbed her up (she was 5 & was asleep).  The whole house shook terribly for at least 5 minutes, but seemed like forever!

We also lost part of our roof and a lot of branches from the tops of our oak trees.  All that wasn't anything that couldn't be fixed or dealt with, though.

It WAS very scary, but we all survived just fine and that was the important thing! =)

  8. Earthquake, but nothing major, 5.5. Happened in the middle of the night when I was 10, and I had no idea what was happening.
