No, but my best friends cousin was. He was battered to death by Emu !!

I wouldn't have believed it either, but it's true. It started with a few pecks, the lad got annoyed, retaliated with a slap and that was it, Emu let loose and picked up a large branch in his beak and battered him to death :-(
