Have you ever been called for jury duty in DC? What did you like and dislike about it?

How friendly were the people in the Clerk's office with you? Did they give you helpful information re: your jury duty? How often do you get called for JD?

Do you have any interesting stories to tell on one of the times you served as a juror?

Do you think anyone should be called in for JD or there should be a better selection system?

I haven't been called for jury in DC, but Baltimore which i think nowhere could be worse. The system is in shambles.  The people are rude have no compassion for the jurrors. People lose a lot of money coming to jury duty, and if u don't show, your really going to pay. No matter what excuse you have. Its all about money in Baltimore. They want it anyway they can get it. Even if you just got out of jail, they know or should know. They still mail you a notice to come down there (waste a day), just to tell them you would be biased in your decision so you can't serve. You pay in parking, lost wages if your working, the local restaurants at lunch time, and anything else they can come up with. Its a joke!!!!!!
