If so, or you know someone that has please share your experence.

You are the lucky person selected at random from the audience to shoot the puck into the net for cash. You have three choices of which line to shoot the puck from.

Prizes

From the 1st blue line: $250,000

Center Red Line: $500,000

2nd Blue line: $1,000,000

1. From the first blue line, You get 3 chances to score but you must at the puck past a goalie playing pee-wee hockey.

2. From the red line you get 2 chances to put the puck in 1 of 2 holes(one hole at the bottom by each goal post and the holes are just big enough for the puck to pass)

3. 2nd shot, one puck, one hole in the center just big enough for the puck to pass through.

Before you make your selection there are consolation prises.

1. 1st Blueline is $10,000

2. center line is $5,000

3. 2nd blueline is $0

Which would you select and why?

  1. first one. if i miss i still get 10000 and i play bantam hocke so it isnt to hard to score on a peewee goalie

  2. 2nd blue line for sure.  I can't shoot all that well, but hey, you go big or you go home.

*I mean the first, I was thinking of it from the opposite way.

Personal Experience:  Two years ago at a Kitchener Rangers game I was sitting with my cousin's boyfriend in his ice level seats.  At first intermission they always do a shootout.  If you get the voucher in your program you shoot from centre ice and try to get it through a hole in a board at the net to win the prize.

They didn't have enough people, so the workers asked one of us to do it.  I went, and I was so excited/nervous that I took a right handed stick instead of a left handed one.  So I made a fool of myself....good thing it's only local tv.Not that they showed it anyway.  But my other cousin is the broadcaster....he didn't let me live that down for a while.

  3. I'll take it at the first blue line.... I'll have a better chance to make it in!

Never really got to do something like that myself.... but it would be pretty fun if I did!

  4. Wow...you're going to make me earn my 2 points, huh? :-)

My dad got to shoot for a Jeep once...I think he bounced the puck off the big board (so it would have gone in the goal).  I almost got to roll a TIRE at the goal, but it snowed all night and all day before I could go back to the next game and I never got the chance.

I'd probably take the first blue line just because you're not going to get the puck in the goal in any of those scenarios.  At least then you get SOME cash.

  5. Isn't scoring a goal a big enough prize? Hehehe.

That's tough. I'll take the shot against the pee-wee goalie.

  6. To answer your question: 1st blue line and work my way up.

And now from my personal experience:

Not as much $ was on the line but in 1998 through Nickel's (comfort food restaurant chain like Denny's) I won 2 tickets to a Canadiens - Islanders game at the Bell Centre, fleece sweater / jacket liner from CKOI 96.9 (radio station sponsoring the event) + $50 in food / drink vouchers. 4 fans including me got to take a shot from the red line, and in place of a goalie, it was a "shooter tutor" thing where it had to go in one of the corners. I was the only one to make my shot, which got me a game-used + signed stick from Sebastian Bordeleau and $96 in cash.

It was the same night I bumped into Zdeno Chara when hardly a soul knew him, as rink staff escorted us past the locker rooms on our way to the ice.

  7. Never, but my Mother-in-law had went on the field at a Blue-claws game(Phillies minor league team) and did the old dizzy run(spin 10x's with your head on a bat then run)and won Dinner for 4.

Put me in my crease take away the trapezoid and let me fire a few from the hash-marks in my zone. If I score give me 2 beers and the Pee Wee goalies Mothers #.

  8. I'll play against the pee-wee, then I will play like Avery and bash the kid to the ground, the I slap it in. Cruel, but money is money. Then I tea-bag the injured kid.

Ihave not had one of those chances but I did shoot a shot aganst Patrick Roy a few years ago, but it was free and he saved it.

  9. definitly first blue line i think i have a powerful enough shot to get it past a kid and even if i miss i still get 10,000
