Yeah I've been for the past few years, and actually quite enjoyed it.  Its best during the day on a week day, when the kids are at school, as its quiet and you can stay on for as long as you like.  Its quite a christmassy tradition for me, and it can be a good laugh!

No, I've not been to Glasgow for years. I think there's something like that on Princes Street in Edinburgh too, or a least there used to be.

yep. went with some friends a couple of times. u would imagine it to be lovley on a nice winter night but aw the neds n wee weans running about. then they bring in S****y market stalls. its got pretty pathetic over the years.

I have driven through Glasgow once on the way to Ullapool in the height of the summer so no I have never been ice skating at George Square
