  3. I am from South America, Colombia. It's a great place to visit...you should go, Culture is nice, we have all the climates and too much to learn..

  4. Yup, from what I've seen so far South America is really great, I love the culture and love the people there, If you happen to stay there you'll notice there's a HUGE cultural difference!

    But it's great there!

  5. Yeah! Philippines rocks! But i never been in South America also, so i want to go there if i have enough time and money...

  6. I too am a Colombiana living in the US.  I actaully visited there 2 summers ago a loved it.  I stayed for a month and I found myself being scared at some points during the trip.  I found it to be a little different from living here in the states.  Colombia is definately not as safe as it is here.  That is the major issue i had while there.  For example: my uncle's car got robbed after being left alone on the street for literally 5 minutes.  Its crazy there but i would definately want to go back in the future!

  7. I've been traveling to Colombia and Ecuador for the last five years.  I've been going every 3 - 4 months and to be honest they've been the best trips I've had.  I would like to visit other South American countries, but it's been hard to tear myself away from Colombia and Ecuador.

  8. Well the most interesting place in South America is Peru, the country is divided in 3 regions very different between each other.

there is the Coast ( near the Pacific Ocean) where is the Capital Lima ( big city , plenty of night entertainment places to go, you gonna eat very well).

at south of Lima there's Ica where you can find the Nazca Lines, ( you know those huges drawing perfectly done, that you can see from the sky).

then the region Andes, where you can find the City of Cuzco

(great city with a lot of young tourist from all over the world) the capital of the Incas empire, 4 hour by train from Cuzco 3400 mts. is the amazing city of Macchu Picchu 2 600 mts

(best place I've ever been, so surreal).

then you can go to Puno ( where is the highest lake of the world "TITICACA")more o less 300 meters of high, there are a lot of islands, and there is one made of straw, is so amazing.

then you can go to the rain forest / the amazon, you can stay in a hotel in the middle of the Amazon where you can get only by boat and where is not electric light, and you can make night tours with a guide around the amazon, is very safe an a unique experience.

    enjoy your trip.

  9. I am Colombian living in the USA....I have been to South America plenty of times and to the following countries: Colombia, Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay and Brasil.

Each country brings their own mixture of beauty when it comes to culture. People are very friendly and I never ran into problems being that I blend in very well.

Like traveling to any country, there is always risk and just take the necessary precautions for a good trip. Some countries are more dangerous than others....some are a lot cheaper than others...it really depends where you go and what you want to do.

Number 1 thing never to do in South America is drink tap water and avoid Ice.(water used for that is never filtered)....You don't want to know what I went through...LOL

I encourage people to travel to S. America.....especially my home country....gorgeous country with so many things to do.
