  1. Just got back from Venice last Friday.  LOVED IT... my second time there.  You can see my reviews of it at http://www.bombasticlife.com

    Are you going?

  2. O man.. i use to think.. "Venice... must be over rated" I was sooo extremely wrong!

It's magical.. i don't know how else to put it.. stay there for maybe 4 days so you don't get tired of it. It's absolutely beautiful... the sky and the water, the cozy streets and good looking people. The restaurants. It's a gorgeous place!

  3. Yes, I have been in Venice and yes, I like it very much! The city is unique, so charming and romantic... Venice looks gorgeous in spring and I was lucky to be there just then. I would love to go back there again and again...

  4. Yes, came back yesterday and have been before. Lovely place very interesting, very special.

  5. me and my husband lived there for two years.

venice is wonderful to see, bad to live, this is my opinion.

  6. Yes for honeymoon  loved it

  7. Been there five time.... loved it.  It's very romantic and the center is fun, but don't just stay in the tourist areas.  Walk around and explore all of Venice!

    Happy Travels!

    2. YES

  10. yess its one of the prettiest cities of all .. and i have seen most of them since im italian

  11. been there 2x, love the city...the buildings....little pastry shops...the farmer's market....though, I would bring a pair of comfortable shoes and walk the city with a compass...

  12. i have been to venice 3 years back and i found it extremely beautiful and it was ausumn beig there.

  13. I wanna go back. I loved ever piece of Italy. I have the prettiest sunsets from Venice right over the water. For some reason Venice seemed so romantic to me. *sigh*

  14. Loved it, not as stinky as people say.  Don't miss San Marco's square with the angry pigeons and gorgeous mosaics in the church. (free to enter).  Also, take the public water buses everywhere, it's a trip. No pun intended. Gondola rides are super expensive but you might as well, once in a lifetime and all.

  15. Venice is utterly gorgeous. If you are planning a trip to Venice, then I definitely suggest that Venice should be on your itinerary. It is a different experience seeing the gondolas and riding the waterbuses as a form of public transportation.

  16. A friend and I went last year and it is by far my favorite city.  Gorgeous!!!  We ended up staying fairly cheaply right near St Mark's Square.  I believe it was the Ca' Residenza or something to that effect.  We stayed 6 days and it wasn't enough.  Definitely book a hotel beforehand unless money is no object (I WISH!!).  And as another poster said, don't just stick to the touristy parts, walk around.  One of my favorite memories of it was when we were just wandering around just before dusk and came upon a quiet, secluded, little square.  It was in an actual neighborhood part that wasn't touristy.  We bought some pizza slices from a vendor and sat down to eat right as a street musician started playing beautiful music that seemed to just fit the mood.  It felt like right then I knew why they call it La Serenissima.

  17. Venice is wonderful in all ways, very unusual, very very old.

We were there  on Christmas Eve, and it was very strange, I loved it. The city seemed completely empty...it was very cold.

It is the best place in the world to take pictures, too.

Great shopping, and everything is unique and interesting. You must walk everywhere, so you are in a different world than usual. The other delightful thing is that there is no noise from cars and traffic----it's quiet and mystical, like you are in another reality.

There are wonderful movies that give you a lot of the "mood" of Venice, but they are only an introduction....

  18. Been there twice.  Last year in April and again this year.  Took the train there from Florence.  Two days spent there is enough, spend three in Florence and a day in Pisa.

  19. www.googleearth is the best can go all over the world
