Have you ever been in drug rehab?

i asked a similair question, but i doubt anybody is going to answer it, so im going to rephrase it.

my friend is locked up (court ordered) in the warm springs rehab center of castaic ,ca.

i need to know what i can send him in the mail

like: if i can mention the krew we are in, or if i can send him playboy pics (with parts marked out)

or if they even read/check his mail.

so if you have been or know sum1 who has been in a drug rehab center, do you think you can help me out with what the mail policies were?

I dont think they  physically go through it... they probaly check boxes, or feel the  envelopes just to make sure their are no pills, drugs, alcohol ect.

I have never been in drug rehab, but my mom worked in a substance abuse center. they do not allow email and certainly do not allow playboy pics and where she worked they did read the patinets mail before they recieved it.

I worked in one as a counselor - yes, the mail is opened and read - so are packages, so is anything brought into the facility.  Anything suspicious or questionable is pulled and the person to whom it was addressed will be confronted about it -mostly things criminal or drug-related of course.  You can mention folks but if you end up being obviously secretive or communicating in code - that'll be pulled.  

Where I worked, there was a time period during which they didn't get their mail at all - they had to work their way to the next level, then once achieved, they were given their mail.

Hi there. I've been to a rehab before. The first few weeks they didn't allow me to have mail or even phone calls. Then I was finally allowed letters but they were always checked. Pornography is a no no, as is any drug talk. It's real strict in there, so I would call for anything else you need to know and ask the administrator.
