  1. Do NOT try e-scan as previously suggested!!!

  2. You can try e-scan 9.4 version, 99% it 'll be effected for these kind of viruses. Pls try once.

  3. Try to install & run avast antivirus.

If this doens't works & if you're system restore fails, take your Xp-cdrom and repair windows Xp.

Just choose the same loginname, and you shouldn't loose all your files.

(If you want to be really sure, then backup)

  4. I strongly recommend that you use Threat fire because it use very little system resources (5 MB RAM)

while giving you the same protection as other anti-virus programs.

Threat Fire is PC Magazine Editor's choice.

    1) Install the program

    2) Do a FULL system scan

    3) Threat Fire can quarantine and neutralise viruses, even those that hide in system restore folder.

    4) Once a virus is quarantine, your system is safe and you have the option to delete

    the quarantine files later.

    ThreatFire's patent-pending ActiveDefense

technology offers protection against all types of internet threats

    - both known and unknown - spyware, adware, keyloggers, viruses, worms,

Trojans, rootkits, buffer overflows, and other malware.

ThreatFire uses its unparalleled protection to hunt down and paralyze those threats

that are either too new or too clever to be recognized by traditional "signature-based" antivirus.
