This doesn't include such things as being offered sweets by parents when you were three years old in an attempt to stop you crying.

  1. I was a medical equipment buyer and was once offered $200.00 for each box of syringes that I could supply. The hospital paid less than $20.00 per box!

Of course I would not agree to the arrangement, my job and integrity are worth much more to me.

  2. Last year in Klaipeda, Lithuania, having parked my UK registered car, was approached by smartly dressed Russian who wanted me to smuggle a girl into Poland and Germany.

Needless to say I declined, telling him I was going the other way i.e. into Latvia and Estonia.  Curiously, when I did cross into Poland my car was thoroughly turned over by border guards.  I wonder...was it curiosity at the GB plates, or something more sinister?

  3. It was a farcical situation, like something out of a stupid movie. I was working as a night auditor at a hotel, doing the books and checking in any middle of the night customers. A woman came in searching for her husband. While she was searching the parking lot, I called his room. He offered me a bribe to move him to another room and not tell her as he was NOT ALONE. I did not accept the bribe, but I did move him just to keep the peace, telling him he would have to pay for both rooms. Cheap creep came in the next day and tried to tell the owner he wouldn't pay for both rooms because he had to move!
