  1. Yes, we took 14 guests on Spring Break, March 2007 and will be taking 7 guests in June, 2008 on the Conquest.

She is a very nice ship.  Don't miss the warm chocolate melting cake in the dining room!  It is great!

The schedule could be better.  Your out to sea for 2 days so you get a bit bored and then hit ports on three consectutive days so you are exhausted.

Remember, Grand Cayman is a tender port so allow plenty of time to get back to the ship via the ferry boats.

Parking at the port can be a pain.  There will be several people that will offer to park you outside of the port terminal.  Parking is $70 for the week.

Do your self a favor for de-barkation, hire a porter.  They will expedite you through customs.  Mark your bags with bright yard or ribbon because there is a sea of mostly black luggage waiting for you at de-barkation.

If your brave enough to be awake at about 6:30 am on the return Sunday, it is an awesome sight to watch the Conquest turn completely around in the channel.

  2. I went on the Conquest in May of 2005 while it still sailed out of New Orleans (before Katrina) and had an absolutely fantastic time. If Todd is still the cruise director you are in for a treat. I have been on 4 other Carnival cruises in the last two years and he was by far the best cruise director of them all. He made sure the passengers all had a great time going from one venue to another and getting people involved. I had previously been on a cruise and did not have a really good time mainly because I didn't get involved. This time around we were involved in as much as we could fit in and it was great. The food was great as was the entertainment. Well worth the money...go and have a great time.

  3. Yes, we sail shortly after Katrina.   Beautiful, large ship.  Great food, great staff.  For more info go to: WWW.CRUISECRITIC.COM, you will find a countless number of reviews.

  4. I was on the Carnival Conquest in feb. 2007, and it was AWESOME!!! I had a singles group on there of about 300 ranging in age from 21-70 and they had the time of their lives -myself included.  I loved the layout, found it extremely to navigate and the ships staff, and entertainment were great. I loved the waterslide, the 24 hour pizzera, and ships coordinator.  The itenerary was good too-you can never go wrong with the Western Carribean! You'll love it, it would be hard not to. HAVE FUN!

  5. No. But I've been on Carnival Truimph and it was pretty good. Speaking for a first timer on a cruise that is.

You can learn a lot from their website. They will show you what the ship looks like.
