  1. Yes. I really cared about this man and I went out of my way to make life easier for him and no matter what I did he claimed he cared, but he treated me like dirt and kept rejecting me.

So I got tired of it and realized he was never going to really care for me and I stopped seeing him and I moved on to be with people that really did care for me.

It is hard to accept at first, but you feel so much better when you do leave. It is almost empowering.

  2. There was a guy from work that I developed a crush on, we would hang out after work sometimes and stay up all night talking. It was very cool and platonic for a while. When I got up the courage to say, "I like you," he told me he didn't want that kind of relationship w/me! I was really disappointed, but I realized that I liked having him in my life even if it wasn't exactly the way I wanted it to be.

So we never "got together," but we stayed friendly for like a year after that, then he moved away. I tried keeping in touch with him, but after about six months I stopped hearing from him and gave up.

I still think about him sometimes, and wonder if I'll ever see him again, even though it's been like 2 years since we spoke...

I don't know how much that helps you, but that's my experience!
