yes i love to surf!!! there is a great place to learn in Maui called Goofy Foot surf school!!

Started when 12 years old and am now considerably older.  If possible try it via a surf school.  It will save you a lot of time and trouble.    I live 5 minutes from a well known surf beach and mini-mal and Malibus are a popular learners option.   Reality can bite, especially in a heavy surf or even smaller waves if you are not familiar with rips etc.....Good luck anyway, give it a go......Chris

I live in Hawaii. It kind of goes with the territory. It is a workout and a rush. Nothing but good times, it can be dangerous too. The ocean is a living thing, and doesn't slow down for you. I recommend it but don't go alone and make sure you bring your A game that day. Good luck.
