Did his failings keep adding up? Did his constant attempts to please you and make you happy actually make you sick in the stomach? Did you despise him for his weakness, and resent your life because you wish you had a real man? Did any of you in this situation have a husband who became a man and took the reigns? How exactly did he do this? Are you happier now? Do you feel more natural now?

  1. It was your mistake...you should have know what kind of man you were marrying.

    love is blind and foolish.

  2. Wow if I was this bitter owards my husband he wouldn't be my husband...No, I do not expect the world from him because I am realistic...Wow I just don't know how to answer this..

  3. Most of the women on this forum probably don't have that problem.

But it is common in society - for a woman to have this perfect ideal of how her man should be.  And, as she slowly finds out that the guy is just as human as anyone else, she gets extremely disappointed and frustrated.

Having realistic expectations is key.  The problem: most women don't have realistic expectations in western society.  Commonly known as the princess syndrome.

As far as turning it around, I'd suggest stop doing everything she wants you to.  Even get out of the house and hang out with some guy friends.  Maybe then she'll make some effort to keep you around if she misses you.

  4. Yes.  I did.  He bought the world for me and a discount price, and later when the market went up, I sold the world for a $1,003,000,698,546.00 profit.

  5. sounds like a match made in h**l

no real communication before getting married or one or both of you ignored the signs because you "just wanted to be married"

  6. My ex husband wanted to control me. I couldn't do anything right. So there goes THAT theory.

We are friends though, and we always will be.

  7. It generally works the other way around.  A woman will marry a controlling man when she is young, then realize her mistake, and the second marriage will be on a more equal footing.

  8. I am a woman who expects the world from her husband, and gets it. He has never failed, made me sick to my stomach. I have never despised him, he has never been weak. I am married to a "real man"
