  2. no , never been

  3. Been there many times - just about my favourite city. The best way for first time visitor would be to get on one of the official tour buses - red line or blue line. Places not miss are the Palace of Monjuic and of course La Rambla, this is the main street crossing Barcelona from Plaza Catalunya down to the port. La Rambla is full of outdoor cafes & bars - fantastic if you are a 'people watcher'. The only thing I would warn you about are the pickpockets and 'snatchers' - never put down you camera, fone etc in a cafe or bar. Have a look at barcelona-tourist-guide.com

  4. Stroll along Las Ramblas, admire the shops and stalls (and spend money if you want!).

Visit Gaudí's Sagrada Familia Cathedral, wonder at the imagination of the man and the vast engineering work it has required to bring it to reality.

Avoid - the pickpockets. They are really numerous and bold, so carry little and keep what you must carry well hidden.

  5. No

  6. Yes, I have. Las Ramblas is very popular. But my best advise is grab a map of barcelona and tour it on your own.  See the culture there, the restaurants, people, etc.

  7. yep,i went to barcelona in june,it one of the most fantastic towns in the world i just loved it

when i went to barcelona i went to the

camp nou,the barcelona football stadium, that was ok

i went to this huge church called the sagrada familia the picasso museum a nd the dali museum

seeing as i went with my skl i had to go to the picasso museum anfd the dali one 2,but  don't go to the picasso museum, that was one of the most boring places in the whole world, well in my opinion!!!!!!!!! was in and out of ther in literally 2mins.if ur older then u might like it,but not if ur 16 years old

the dali museum wasn't in barcelona it was in girona and that was really interesting!!!!!!!!!!

take a trip down th rambla that was really cool!!!!!!

have a great ime and let me know how it was!!!!!!!!

or better take me with you!!!!!!!lol, only joking

    have a nice holiday

  8. go to the ramblers, bt its known 4 pickpocketing, so watch out!!!

    also go to the cathedral!

  9. Yes. I took a taxi from McDonalds to the airport. The driver kept letting off wind all the way to the airport. As he was doing this he started winding his window up. Eventually the window was closed and the whole taxi stank...never again!!

  10. Yes, have been 6 times. Firstly, you need a 2 consecutive day tour bus pass which you can get at the bottom of the ramblas by the port, this is a hop on and off as many times as you like, and takes you to all teh major attractions, u get a map & list of everything. You can also catch a cruise. The pubs have gone expensive some charge 11 euros for 2 beers, & some on ramblas charge 12 euro for 1 beer so beware. There is a lovely beach too. Id rec you stay around the ramblas area. Lots to see on  ramblas.

  11. go to the barcelona pavilion and the sagrada familia. - ok, modern architecture is not everyone's cup of tea but, you have to see both; then decide which, for you, is the most beautiful building in the world. i can't think of anything, anywhere that competes.

also set aside at least one afternoon to wander round bari gotic. lots of little narrow streets, with tapas bars, clubs, shops, galleries etc. a bit like brighton lanes, but hotter. it includes the picasso museum.

oh and see the magic fountain lightshow.

    and the beach

    and the ramblas

    and the maritime museum

    and the nou camp

    and parc guell

and go to the cerveseria catalana for the best tapas in spain

    go for a month

  12. Go to BCN.com or gobcn.com to find all sorts of things about the city.

get a DK eyewitness book on either Spain or just Barcelona (the latter would be cheaper and smaller, easier to carry around).  They are so pretty, they make you want to do EVERYTHING in them.

Eat lots of seafood.  And Chocolate.  And Ice Cream  (best Ice cream I´ve had except, maybe Florence.)  It´s all homemade, and really fresh  YUM!!!  ( I put on ten lbs, walking my butt off for ten hours a day, just on the ice cream alone).  Have paella, if you haven´t ever had.

the DK book will give you all the sights.

Two caveats:  be super careful of your valuables, especially in crowds.  Be really aware of the people around you on the subway, and at the Plaça de Espanya metro station.  It´s huge and often crowded...Barcelona has some of the best pickpockets in the world.  People kept warning me to watch my purse and camera.  Oddly, it was my husband who got targeted, and lucky for him, it wasn´t much...just some credit cards and photos.  Poor thief!

That tourist bus, it´s really great, and I generally avoid anything that obviously touristy, but Barcelona is Massive!!! and it really was a good deal, but it WAS 20€.
