  1. I haven't played either sport since I was in primary school. It's just not my thing.

Aussie Rules and Gaelic are pretty similar and Aussie Rules is known for being quite violent. That's probably where her assumption comes from.

  2. I love hurling !! Up the Deise !!

Best and fastest land sport in the world

  3. gaeilic is not rough at all. there is very little contact.

  4. i played both at junior county level (Antrim) as for its roughness thats debatable.  its part of the game.  Hurling is slightly rougher than the football.  When i was 15 i earned the nickname "the belfast butcher" i split an opponents shin bone right down the middle with the heel of my hurl.  they should make a discovery channel programme about it "when ash meets bone"  hahaha get it? bone ash! aah anyway no! its not big and its not clever but its fast furious and keeps one very fit.  Hurling nearly 3000 years old.   how many other sports can claim that?

  5. Ha!!!!!! was she watching the last aussie rules........... Anyway, I don't really care, I love my football!!!!!!!!!

  6. I love Gaelic, I've been playing it since I was about 10 and I still play it. Next year, I'm going to be a manager of a Gaelic team, so now I'm quite professional! It's a great sport, I love it!
