  1. My parents were living in Linz and I've been staying there for one year. We've been living near the Danube and I liked to walk the banks of the river. My father always had some pinoli (seeds) in his pocket to feed the birds. On Sundays we usually went up to the Pòstlingberg (when it wasn't raining) from where you have a beautiful view all over Linz.  I didn't like much the Altstadt, but a walk along Landstrasse, from the Danube-Bridge ,  the Hauptplatz, up to the Hauptbahnhof is

what I liked best, with a little rest in the Park (Volksgarten) and a cup of milk and a Kàsesemmerl (cheese-sandwich) in the Milk-Bar (friends told me that the milk-bar doesn't exist any more).Beautiful also the Botanic-Garden.

I liked staying there, but more than Linz I liked my home-town, which is Wels (15 minutes by train, direction Salzburg)

beautiful town, nice people!  Hope you like Austria!
