Have you ever been to Murano Island, Venice?

I absolutely love Murano table lamps and chandeliers. One of the many reasons why I would love to travel to Italy is to take a look (and possibly purchase a few items) at the glasswares in Venice. If you have been to Murano, what are the prices and shipping costs of chandeliers/table lamps? What has your shopping experience like?

  1. I've been on Murano and have visited some of the glassworks. I have never had to have things shipped though since I only live two hours away from Venice. Prices for lamps and chandeliers tend to be pretty high running from  hundreds to several thousand euro. I have stayed with some of the smaller art pieces. There's an online catalog for Tommasi that may give you some idea of what to expect (click on the small picture of each and then again click on the individual item to get the price): http://www.tommasi-store.com/catalogue/l...

  2. Prices are higher for artistic pieces but they have all range of merchandise expect to pay a lot for what you are looking for
