I have been to a few ...... but seldom have I ever " pulled off " the costume in a way that left anyone doubting that it was indeed me ..... Tarzan costumes hide little and as I understand it there were precious few 6 ft 3 inch Samurai warriors ........... so the last one... I just went classic ( it was a bit formal ) I wore Black Tie attire ( Tuxedo ) with a simple white eye mask ........ this was effective at the party but frustrating for me as as the night progressed the nose part of the eye mask began to get in the way as I tipped my glass of Suntory and water over ice

Yes, it was for Halloween, 30 years ago.

I went to the local funeral home and bought some mortician's wax. (That's the stuff they use to plug up bullet holes and such).

I made one side of my fax gross and drippy with the wax, while the other side was made up beautifully, hair long and curly, etc.

I wore a very low cut body suit (black) with a lace table cloth tied around my hips like a sarong, along with black stillettos.

My husband wore a hump on his back and a noose aound his neck, which I carried like a leash. He was my pet.

Ok....it was pretty cheesy, but it was fun.

We had a mini masquerade party the other day during our school musical rehearsel. But it just turned into a sword fight.

But I would love to attend one with a totally awesome mask waaaayy to big for my head.

Yup, they're fun! I've lived in New Orleans for the last three years, and masquerades are huge at Mardi Gras time!
