  1. I haven't been and haven't heard of it.

  2. First of all, do you mean Murcia the town or Murcia the province?

Both are very nice and I totally disagree with answer nbr. 2.

The town of Murcia is one of the best examples of spanish baroque. The museums are worth to be visited, especially the Museo Salzillo.

The provice got from the flatlands of the Campo de Cartagena to mountains everything, including spa resorts.

Contact best the Spanish Turism Office for first informations. And also look up www.spainturism.com

  3. No y tu ?

  4. I live in Andalucia. I've been to Murcia twice and that was two times too many.

edit:  I have recently stayed in  La Zenia in Murcia Province. The area from Cartagena, Orihuela,  Orihuela Costa to Torrevieja was like an upmarket council estate interspersed with golf courses. I will admit I haven't been into the old town in Murcia which will be my loss as I'm sure there will be some wonderful culture. In the whole time I was there the only Spaniards I met were in the motorway toll booths.

Perhaps I'm spoilt living in a rural area in the mountains in Andalucia. I had to learn the language and integrate. I love the Spanish people but in Murcia province all I got was brits. You asked for opinions and that is mine.
