when you were expecting a baby, have you ever had the ultrasound technician tell you that you're having a (boy or girl) and believe it- and buy all (pinkor blue) stuff, and end up having the opposite s*x...?

  1. It has never happened to me but my friend was told at about 22 weeks that the is having a boy then about a week ago they did another scan and told her its really a girl.

  2. Not me personally.. but my friend had 2 ultrasounds and both ultrasounds they told her she was having a boy... They bought blue.. picked out a name... When the baby was delivered.. surprise.. it was a girl... LOL..  I have 4 boys already and been told that one twin is a boy and the other a girl.. I can clearly see that the boy is a boy.. but still my fingers are crossed that the girl stays a girl.. lol.. I am going for another ultrasound today... so I will have them check again.. lol...

  3. with my forth i got told i was having a girl and had a boy but my partner was convinced it was a boy and wouldnt let me buy anything i couldnt believe he was right even though the tec told me it was a girl

  4. Twice I was told, I was having a daughter. Twice I had son's.

I don't buy colours. I am so boring, I dress my babies in white. After they are born we buy colour. My nursery both times, was suitable for either s*x.

  5. Yes! We had a 3D scan and they were adamant that she was a boy. ( I knew in my gut that she was a girl though and didn't pay them any heed)

    2 years on, she's a bit of a tomboy!

  6. my first, i was told "definitely a boy".  the hospital even had the blue layette set out to receive him.  it was a bit of a scramble when they had to run around and get the pink layette set ready and print out a set of pink bracelets.

my second, i was told a boy but they corrected that on a later scan.

my third, they wouldn't even tell me - i had to find out for myself during a scan at 36wks when the technician was a little bit careless on purpose and there was ***no possible way*** she was a boy.

it's more common to mistake girls for boys than the other way around because bits of anatomy can masquerade as other bits, if you know what i mean.
