Have you ever been told you can't use the bathroom unless your a customer?

A few fast food places and gas stations around here have up signs saying that "restrooms are for customer use only" and you have to get a key to unlock them. Have you ever been refused access to the restroom because you weren't planning on buying anything?

  1. That happened to me once at a gas station while I was on a road trip, and I really needed to go, so I just relieved myself all over their wall and went on my way.


  2. YES!!! I also hate when you really, really have to go and there are houses and businesses everywhere and you know each one has a bathroom.

  3. I have seen some of these self employed business, only offers restrooms to there customers. I think they are contolling cost of senitation and extra employee to work for.

    Public restroom could be used atleast 5 to 6 times more then private use.

  4. Yes, so you buy the cheapest thing possible. This has occured becasue so many people are filthy anfd trashy and destroy property, steal, do drugs, prostitution in public rest facility......

  5. Most state private property laws are such that a business does not have to let you use their bathrooms.  Here in Oregon, however, restaurants HAVE to have a bathroom for paying customers.

  7. I've been told that yes. So I said to them I am going to buy something after I use the restroom, Im not gonna shop when I have to use the restroom this bad. They let me use it and I go and walk right out.
