Question:

Have you ever been upset with a trade your team made?

I have been really upset with some of the trades my team has made. The Reds. Trading Ken Griffey Jr. has been the hardest pill to swallow yet. Although they've traded Sean Casy and Jason LaRue in the past, I believe Griffey's trade has to be the I am most upset with. How about your team?

For those who are critics. If you go beyond answering my question to criticize my comments on my team, don't expect any extra 10 points headed your way. Be happy with your two.

  1. I also was upset with the Reds trading Griffey :-((((  But I look at it in a positive light in that now he can possibly play for a winning team. If it makes you feel better I never did get over Sean Casey's trade, love him, love him, love him!!!!!  Wish he was still a Reds!

  2. Of course.  Most of the time, I just laugh at how naive I was to think the trades were big deals.  But at the time, it hurt to see my favorite players traded.  But that's just how baseball is.  I've given up on trying to remember which player is on what team.

  3. yeah just recently the braves traded mark teixeira for casey kotchman and stephen marek

  4. yea

  5. I was mad at hockey trades but not really mad at any baseball trades until Thursday, when my favorite team the Cincinnati Reds traded Ken Griffey.

  6. I hated it when the Red Sox traded Nomar Garciaparra. He's my favorite player.

  7. There haven't been any trades by the Cardinals this decade that have upset me at the time that they happened. But there have certainly been some that failed, most notably trading Dan Haren (and more) to Oakland for Mark Mulder. I thought that was understandable at the time, but we sure got hosed.

  8. The Braves Trade for Mike Hampton Is the Worst Trade in the History of baseball!

  9. Go way back to 1969.  The Cardinakls coming off back-to-back pennants traded Orlando Cepeda to Atlanta for Joe Torre.  Torre had some good seasons with St. Louis but Cepeda was the person who led the team to the back-to-back pennants.  I realize trading a popular player is very hard to take

  10. yeah i was mad when the mets traded xavier nady back in 06

  11. when my phils traded 2 top 5 prospects for joe blanton.....

  12. Giants trading Joe Nathan, and prospects Francisco Liriano, and Boof Bonser to the Twins for AJ Pierzynski

I was pissed about this trade when it happened, and looking ahead to what it's become, one of the worst trades in team history.

  13. When the Yankees traded Dave Winfield to the Angels. I was not a happy kid seeing my favorite player leaving my favorite team.

  14. yeah, i was sad when harden left the a's, but whatever

  15. They didn't trade La Rue. As a Cardinals fan, I don't like the trade we made a few years ago when we gave up Dan Haren, Kiko Calero, and Daric Barton for Mark Mulder.

  16. im pissed that the tigers traded pugde rodriguez!!!

sure hes old, but hes the team captain, and has a ton of expierence

  17. i was disappointed when the angels traded casey kotchman for mark teixaira.

  18. Many times. Right now I believe the Tigers were fleeced with the Pudge for Kyle Farnsworth trade. What rip off.

  19. uhhhh yeah

have you ever heard of a guy named scott kazmir, probably, well he used to be on the mets. have you ever heard of a guy named victor zambrano? probably not, he used to be on the rays

  20. Yeah, the Phillies made a bad move when they traded Bobby Abreu to the Yanks a few years ago.

  21. You can't really blame the Reds.  I mean there is pretty much no chance they're going to make post season.  So why not trade and try to get some prospects and rebuild for next season?  That's just my view on it and I'm sure there are many different.
