Scary Right? We are going to Negril and found this mystery package $1500 less than what we were expecting and we were guranteed to stay at a 5 star resort. The choices were Couples Swept Away, Grand Lido, Riu, and yes Hedonism. We are scared to death of the last one. What do you think? Do you have any experiences good or bad doing something like this? Thanks

  1. I've actually used the Grand Lido surprise before. In exchange for not knowing which of the Grand Lido's I'd be at the cost was reduced by almost 40%.

Back then there were 3 Grand Lidos. When SuperClubs closed one of the Grand Lidos they stopped offering the package. I find it quite odd that they have started offering it again with Hedonism is an option. Are you sure you didn't misunderstand? SuperClubs owns Hedonism and those types of resorts are actually a lot of fun but I find it odd that they would package it with the Grand Lido.

You can usually find out where you'll be staying a few days before you depart. So you'll know what to expect.

I did this package four times and it was great every time but that was when the 3 options were different.

Is Hedonism still a on-site swingers resort?

Edit: After doing a quick search it seems that there are two options. Had you chosen the prude option you would have excluded Hedonism. If you are really that scared of ending up there you might be able to switch to the prude package.

  2. those are all very nice hotels...

hedo is a bit raunchy.. if your a puritan dont go... let them know... it has nude beaches and has been known to expose u to explicit shows of affection.  but when i went it was just a bunch of old folks sunning there buns :)  and no one was rude everyone mined there own business  (except the short offbeat tourist who tried to dance with me in the disco... i hate techno cant move to it at all... i guess i looked equally off beat lol)

Anyway... the others are nice but i must say.. they are more considered 3 - 4 star.  They are all inclusives but not as luxurious as the 5 stars here.

Make sure u go to the ala carte resteraunts at Lido or hedo.. they are very nice!! the food is great!

and at hedo i loved the slide :)

I hear of these superclub promos every now and them.  you get a bargin but u dont know which hotel..... but Im surprised riu and swept away are included....  as they are not the same establishment

as long as its a reputable place that sold u the holiday i shouldnt be worried.... my advice is to contact one of the hotels directly and make sure they are invoved... try email or there toll free number

  3. i was over in europe when my friend booked our jamaica trip (we left 2 weeks after i got home from europe) and i had NO idea where were we going, staying or what we were doing.

the trip was fantastic, the people there were gorgeous and i was having so much fun i ended up doing all these things i wouldn't have normally done - like swim in crocodile infested black river, swing off this rope thing into ys falls, and yes - cliff jump at ricks in negril.

i can't put into words how beautiful negril was and how awesome the people were, so honestly i think no matter where you stay you'll have the best time ever!  i know i did!

  4. You should have a choice of where to go and know something about the hotel.

Not everyone would want to stay at Hedonism (It IS Wild!), yet some would luv it.

Couples Swet Away and Grand Lido, what a variety of hotels.

This like telling someone steak is on sale to get you in the store, and then going in and finding out the only thing left is pork chops.

The package/agent or company you booked with do not seem trustworthy.

Travel agents cater to your needs...use them!
