  1. wouldn't it be lying? Just ask for a day off. You aren't paid to call in sick and go skiing.

  2. POWDER DAYS!!!

I do it all the time!  LOL

(got a pass so not so much for cheap tickets, just for the snow!)

  3. haha OF COURSE! i havent done it alot, but at my old job (that i hated) i would just tell them, yeah i have a doctors appointment. they cant say anything because its personal, so i had a day of snowboarding with my friends! i think once in a while its ok, just dont do it all the time!

    have fun skiing!

  4. No self-respecting skier would pass up a powder day. And we don't do it to save money, it's all about hittin' freshies in waist deep pow.

  5. I have never called in sick to get a cheaper ticket, I teach at a ski area and the season pass is hard to beat. If I call in sick, then the pass is frozen that day and I can't ski on it.

  6. yea, of course i do

we always call out and go to the moutains for a day when the local radio station does a promo there, tickets for $9.33, and all the free beer you can drink, a h**l of a time. usually we have to get a room because it would be a rough ride home...

  7. Planning on doin that this week

  8. Nope, I can't call in.  I don't work a Mon-fri job, so I can go during the week.

  9. Freak...we closed the whole store one day where I used to work. It was my boss's idea. We just got 12" the night before and 3/4 of the town did the same thing.

When I was semi-self employed I used to blow off days left and right.

I want to know who has worked at a resort and called off to go ski at another resort! (Just like Randall closing RST Video to go to Big Choice Video in "Clerks".)
