There's loads of people outside Tescos waiting for that HP book . I don't see what's so special about it, but each to their own right?

I've never camped out for any new launch products / special offers.

What did you camp out for and was it hectic?

I remember IKEA did this massive sale last year and two people got stabbed, loads injured, cars wrecked etc.

  1. No; there's absolutely NOTHING in this world that I want badly enough to do that!  The closest I ever came was when Star Wars first opened back in the 70s, and my then-husband and I waited a couple of hours in line to see it.

  2. I camped outside of the movie theater for each of the "Lord of the Rings" movies and the new "Star Wars" movies...

It was fun... I honestly wasn't into the movies that much... but to be able to say "Oh ya... well I camped outside the movie theater for 4 days"... now that's classic...

  3. nope havent done it, asked a similar question not so long ago myself, think i was asking about people queuing for ps3. turns out some of them queue up buy the thing and then flog it/ ebay it for 2 or 3 times the price.

the rest are just nerds/obsessives/attention seekers.

thinking back to some of the profits they were supposedly making on the electronics maybe i will camp out some day.

  4. No it is silly

  5. No. I have a life.

  6. I queued 16 hours or something for Dylan tickets in 1978, I think? he hadn't been to the UK since the Isle of Wight festival then, though. Can't get rid of the old git now.

    It was a party, too!

  7. I havent camped out but I came close when the kate moss line came into topshop (pun not intended!)

I was aware that a) the doors wouldnt open before 8pm while topshop prepared for the model to arrive and the party to finish, and b) models are always late/ things never go to plan so it would likely be running late anyway.

I began queing at 5.30. Though I was amoung the first 50 in at what was supposidly 8pm (in reality 8.35 pm), I have never waited that long in a que before.

was worth it to see and buy stuff first though!
