  1. Yep sure have not just once but on three separate occasions:

1st time I was 19 years old driving a 1969 Baja Bug with 36-inch mud/snow truck tires on the back. Needless to say after I backed up about 100 feet the Ground hog stopped squealing. The second time was years later and I had a firearm with me. I did not risk damaging my GLHS, but I did have to take about 30 minuets to explain to a New York State Trooper what the hay I was doing hunting raccoons in the middle of the road out of season!

Last but not least, some one had left a deer strike with a broken back blatting in the middle of the road, so before some one cam a long and wrecked there car on a half dead deer, I finished the job with a crowbar. Must say dem dar rode kilz sur make fine eatin.

  2. No and I was traumatized when I did hit a bird and saw feathers fly out my rear view mirror!

  3. No. I once saw a little squirrel laying on the road that had already been hit, and his tail was quivering, so he was alive and suffering, but I didn't have guts (bad choice of words) to finish him off. Didn't want bloody fur in my wheel wells either.

  4. Interesting question. I always brake for animals, but a few times could not avoid running a critter h**l bent on suicide over. I was afraid to go back and look, so kept on driving.

  5. Personally I feel that if I speed up I can outrun the guilt.

  6. Ummm... no.
