I am a larger guy about 290lbs and going to a tanning salon. Ive been told that I cary lbs. well & look lighter I started out using stand up with great results. Once in a wile use lay down. the other day I was getting in the lay down and to my horror I heard a crack, jumped up and found a large round cracked area that was very obvious. I waited until the time was up and left ASAP and didnt say anything about the broken accrilic cover that goes over the bulbs. I had just bought $100 in tanning dollars but am way to embarresed to ever go back.it has lots of stores but I'm thinking they will wright this on my account for all employees to see. I plan never to go back & let them keep my money and hope that will cover any damage. Everybody that works there is tiny & about 18 yrs oldwith an attitude. I didnt have nerve to go up to the group of employees and explain. I went to a new salon with stand up and much sturder looking bed. havent tried lay down will they hold me? was I wrong?

  2. aww that sux but they should do their jobs better there are weight limits to them but each bed is different!  it's done and over with.. go back and get your money worth!  dont even bring it up!  i'm sure they wont remember!

  3. To answer your question, NO.

  4. Yes, you should have said something.  It was not your fault and they could be liable if you or someone else got hurt.  When the first layer of acyrlic gets cracked, you can get seriously burned and not even know it until it is too late and the burns are severe.  They can't charge you because they should know the weight limit on their own equipment.  Good luck.

  5. I think you should have said something.  Idk how tanning beds work since I think they're pretty nasty and I can just tan outside, but if the glass is cracked rite on top of where the bulb is, I think someone could have gotten hurt.

  6. Hmm, why not actually slim down your body instead of just baking it. I don't care how "well" you carry it - unless you are 6'7" you have no business being 300 pounds. It was an accident - you didn't mean to break it - they should have signs saying what the weight limit is. You are under no obligation to pay for it.

  7. I've never cracked a bed...I'm like 145 or 150 lbs, I'm 17. I usually do the stand-ups too. But I haven't went tanning since my prom in April.

  8. It is really not your fault, did they ask how much you weigh? They should have, knowing their beds are at risk.

  9. you know you can sue over that

  10. Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...
