If yes, why? If no, can you think of a reason why you might?

I never thought I would have to, but due to recent events it became necessary to preserve my own peace of mind.

  1. what does "disowned" mean.  you can get a divorce.  in some states you can eliminate spouses and children from your will but i don't know of any place that allows blood relationship to be terminated.  What would it mean?

You still share the same DNA.

  2. NO.

  3. Yes about 5 years ago. One of the best decisions I have ever made.

Life is much better without all the drama and heartache this person caused.

  4. No, luckily i have a good family so that will never have to happen, but disowning a family member is wrong most of the time unless in extreme cases that they did something bad enough to warrant it.

  5. One of my brother's once told me I was wrong to divorce my cheating ex. I went off on his ***. A month later I still had no contact with him and he called all apologetic. I told him I'll let it go this time but he makes a comment like that again and I'll get in my car, drive to his house, walk in and ***** slap him down. To this day he's never said anything to p**s me off.

  6. yes my oldest brother my parents love him but i hate him. he abuses everyone and he is 19. he hangs out with girls in my grade im 14.... he is nasty cause his carpet in his room was white its now brown.... and hes has no plan to mvoe out yet and my parents had to find him a job how sad is that?

  7. I've been disowned by a lot of my cousins because Im g*y. But I really don't care, they are no longer a part of my life.

  8. my mom and he whole side of the family disowned my when i was 16 becuase i got pregnant and they did not approve, they dont talk to me or cares what happenes, i got used to it over the last 4 years so now when they try to talk to me i dont call them back i dont need people like that in my life even if it is my mother i have my dads side so im not really worried about it anymore

  9. Yes because I found that having them in my life made me feel like c**p and I don't need anybody in my life that makes me feel that way if they are a family member or not.  It is called a "toxic relationship"....google it and if the criteria for your family member fits then disown them.  Life is too short to have those type of people in your life.

  10. Yes, I have disowned family members for the way they treated my Mom.  I would rather donate my estate to a college and establish a scholarship that give them a cent.

More people have to realize that your actions will come back to haunt you.  I am a firm believer in "What comes around goes around!"

    Good Luck!

  11. Yes My sister. She is having another family member. She lies and only comes around when she wants something. A lot of other things I wish I could say more but this is a legal issue. Also I have never had any second thought of disowning a family member. We can chose our friends but not family. I believe however your can stop talking to friends then way not family.
