Please be honest. I am trying to understand what makes people do it, whether its just because they think they have only had 3 so its fine, or whether its that they just dont care.

I probably do it quite often, but always the morning after (which in my head makes it somehow acceptable)

  1. honestly???? yes *hangs head in shame* I could have lied..but Im all about honesty and I can say..I aint proud of myself

Ive done it because our designated got so drunk we had to carry him home, and Id stopped drinking a few hrs before, but its NO excuse..I still think that people that knowingly drink and drive are selfish a$$holes that only care about themselves.

  2. you may not be over the limit the next morning but, if stopped by the police, you may end up disqualified for a technicality. You might also end up arrested and spending some time in the local police station and finishing off with a criminal record and more expensive insurance. As a rule of thumb don't drive for 24 hours after drinking more than 1 or 2 untis of alcohol and be careful where you have parked your car the night before. If it is in a suspicious looking place it might be more likely to be noticed by the police.

  3. Nope. I'm too young to drive. :)

  4. No.

It's never safe, even if you're not drunk, you just have a hangover, because your vision, concentration and reflexes are all still impaired, which is just as bad as drunk driving in the first place...

  5. Having lost someone to a drunk driver, I do not undersand how people drive drunk.  Is it realllly worth potientially killing someone?

I am 26 and have never had a drink before-  so I am not a good source of advice as to the appropriate amount of time to wait before driving.

  6. Its a matter of convenience.

Most people i knwo who drive drunk, are careless.  They dont want to get caught, but at the same time they dont think they will.   A lot does have to do with men being macho, and saying that "o ive only had 14 beers..im not even buzzed"    bullshit.

there is no excuses its stupid, the risks outweigh the benefits.   Also, i dont think next morning drunken driving is that bad.   for one thing, if you sleep 5 or so hours.. thats 5 less drinks u have in your system.  the BAC is significantly lower, its jsut the grogginess that makes u feel drunk.

  7. iv driven tipsy but never drunk. i even look back on that and see it as being really stupid

  8. can't remember<

  9. nope

  10. I've done it once, it's probably because some people see driving as something you could never do on your own, with no "tool", so we perceive it as a bold act.

When you're drunk you're bolder than usual, right?

  11. I never been drunk in my life..or even drink or hold it..my religion forbid it ..but I had a friend who did..she wasn't really thinking that time..and she almost died..but I guess she didn't learn her lesson..

  12. Technically, as far as the law goes, yes I have . A .08 blood alcohol level is achieved after just 2 beers or 2 glasses of wine. I've had that much and drove afterwards. I've been driving for 45 years and never had a chargeable accident. Any more than that and I let someone else do the driving.

  13. i havent personally driven drunk but i did manage to climb into a car and was driven home by a friend who was drunk after a night of drinking. I can safely say i would never do it again it was the scarest drive in my life complete with almost hitting a tree.

To be honest jumping in the car with a drunk driver didnt really cross my mind until we almost hit the tree sort of thanked god i had a horseshoe up my ***.

  14. no i don't even have a license

  15. if you really think about what can happen you wouldent do that.how would you feel if you killed someone by doing that .?  how  about if you killed a kid crossing the street . thats just strait out stupid to do.go to car crashes coused by drunk drivers on the net . and really think about your actions...stopppppppppppp doing that ..good luck

  16. Once in 1974 and never since, I don't drive or smoke and its been 35 years....

  17. I did, just once, many years ago. I was in the car park at a B & S Ball, and I wasn't attending, just thought I would attend the carpark party before the ball started, any how, to cut along story short, by the time the ball started, I'd had too much, but I needed to get home (about 3kms) so not very far. I got home safely but the road didn't seem wide enough, next morning I was so angry with myself. I think the alcohol had just given me the "i don't care" attitude. I no longer drink alcohol at all. I feel so lucky I didn't hit anyone, It could have been so bad!!!
