Well this is kind of gross, but years ago my friend's parents were eating at a restaurant and it was kind of dim in there.  Her mom felt something crunchy in her spaghetti, and held her plate up to the light and saw part of a centipede in there. Eeyuk.  If I've ever eaten a bug, I didn't notice. :o

No but when I was a server I did once serve a customer a salad with somekind of huge bug that looked like a cricket with wings...I did not see it since the salad came straight from the fridge and the bug was not moving. Well it thawed out on the way to the table (it was a hot summer day in Florida) and started moving around just when I was serving the plate to the customer...Then it streched out it's wings and flew off!!! Good thing the customer had a sense of humour, we both started laughin, it was just too funny. Of course I offered the lady a new salad and complimentary drinks as an apology.
