Have you ever eaten Arabic and iranian food? if yes , Please tell me which one did you like more?

My husband is syrian and i am from Iran. Last month their family came to Iran and we have disscussed about our foods very much, i could not persuade them that our food is healthier and more delicious and they could not give me enough reasons that Arabic foods are better. They believed that the europian and american like their food more , and as my view it is not true becuase i know a lot of people who have another opinion. Actualy we have got some trouble about it.

Obviously , the sole way is asking you in yahoo answer, than please tell me about your experiences about this matter.

  1. Personally I prefer Arabic food, I am from Canada & have tried both. I wouldn't necessarily say Arabic food is healthier for you though I think Persian food has less fat, but I am still not a fan. Sorry

  2. why don't u and ur in-laws cook the best of recipes from ur country........... il be the judge and tell which one is better....... just kidding........

I'm an Indian and iv had an opportunity of have both Arabic and Iranian food, i think both taste great.... its just a matter of ur taste buds..........

why don't u give up the inhibition, and try out the Arabic food again, I'm sure ul like it just as much as Arabic food

  3. This question has been asked and answered several times already!!

You seem to be on quite a mission to prove your in-laws wrong!

  4. Iranian food because its not as dry as Arabic food. I like Arabic food but love Iranian food more.

Im American, in case you need to know that.

  5. I live in an area where there are a lot of Arabic restaurants and a large Arabic population, and I find the food mainly to be absolutely delicious, especially when it's prepared in an authentic homecooked way. I would not eat it very often though because I find it very oily, and I have never understood mixing bread in salad...what's up with that!

My son's carer is Iranian and we were invited to her daughter's 18th birthday party which she catered herself and the food was absolutely sublime...lots of rice dishes, kebabs and lavash bread. It seemed to me to be very healthy and not as oily as Arabic food. she made vine leaves as well and they were nowhere near as oily as the Arabic ones I've tasted and were just as delicious! So I would rate the 2 cuisines equal in terms of taste but probably Iranian food is a bit healthier in my limited experience.

  6. no but i LOVE LOVE LOVE eastern spicy foods. go east a bit. i don't know what it is with spice and me. my uncle says its a spice gene that floats through our family and hits a few now and again. senses. go figure.
