My husband is syrian and i am from iran. Last month their family came to Iran and we have disscussed about our foods very much, i could not persuade them that our food is healthier and more delicious and they could not give me enough reasons that arabic foods are better.

Obviously , the sole way is asking you in yahoo answer, than please tell me about your experiences about this matter.

  1. I actually like both, Iranian food is probably more similar to Indian food except not as spicy.  Arabic food is also delicious, both cuisines offer wonderful dishes.  How lucky you are --- you have the best of both worlds!

PS:  You will never win with in-laws!

  2. iranian definitely.   chelo kebab kobeidah (Sp?) my favourite (Minced kebab)  i lived in middle east with  hubbie half arab/half iranian, im english loads of iranian restaurants there serving great food very cheap, my kids like the green curry with fish or meat too.    the whole middle east diet is pretty healthy and i dont think u could say either is more healthy, fresh meat, veg fruit rice and bread, as long as u dont eat too much halwa . the kebabs are grilled and curries contain lot of veg.   i found two types of arab food in dubai local gulf cooking which u dont find in resaturants and lebanese style, all of them are healthier than western diet salads, olive oil fruit  veg so to conclude i prefer taste of iranian but think both are equally healthy. i think everyone prefers their own cooking ie iranians will say iranian is more delicious and vice versa.

  3. i liked iranian, it seemed healthier.

sorry i just read what you said, so i guess i agree.

  4. You can not even compare Arabian food with Iranian food. Every Arab country has different ways of cooking and different foods. Syria is next to Jordan yet the food taste very different. This is like comparing apples with oranges. Every country has foods which are healthy or unhealthy. You have to remember that Persia cuisine was influenced heavily by Arabs...and Obviously Sister if we all follow the Sunnah we will all be eating healthy.
