Oh my God, YES!  It's my favorite sandwich of all time!  Pometta's Deli makes the absolute best.  I used to take 3 of them home on the plane with me after visiting here.  Even Genova can't hold a candle to Pometta's.

Yes.  There is an Italian general store in Galveston, TX that sells the best one I have ever eaten.  It is not in the Strand area, but is on a street pretty close to it.

The original muffaletta can be found at Central Deli in New Orleans. Jason's Deli is a passable imitation.
