  1. Noooooo!!! I know - I'm a scaredy-cat .. well, maybe not. A cat would eat the fish! So I'm a chicken!

When having sushi, I actually do prefer sashimi .. but fugu? Noooo!! No food is worth dying for

... hm ... unless you have nothing to live for!

Heeey I think I would actually prefer fugu as a method of execution, should I ever have to choose how to be executed .. :S

  2. I would love to try it. Anthony Bourdain said it was fairly bland.

  3. Can't say I have

  4. Never because I've always been too concerned with the risk of poisoning.

  5. They say, that the danger to die from Fugu today is almost zero%. Because:

    a. The Fugu-cooks have a super special education.

    b. The Japanese food standards are the best and highest in the world (of course they are, everybody knows how perfectionistic Japan is in everything).

    c. All deaths from Fugu are due to consumption of Fugu LIVER (and it is prohibited since years to serve the liver) or due to amateurs, who catch their own Fugu in the ocean and prepare it wrong.

But... I have read once, that a Fugu poisoning is better than any drug in the world, and one fisherman was cited once with the description (after being saved from death from accidental Fugu eating):

"Pains? It was like having s*x with several women at once! I did not want to come back! This was the only pain!"

The Fugu flesh itself is bland, nothing to make you jump like crazy. The liver is called the delicacy. But nobody, who is not insane, will serve you the liver officially...
